Do not take Cantil (not available in Canada) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Cantil (not available in Canada) or to similar medications you have glaucoma you have blockage of the intestines or urinary tract you have paralysis of the intestines you have weak muscles in the intestines due to age or debilitation you have severe inflammation of the colon you have myasthenia gravis (serious muscle weakness)

Before using Cantil (not available in Canada), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have any other medical condition

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many things, including the condition being treated, the presence of other medical conditions, and medicines. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Cantil (not available in Canada) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Take Cantil (not available in Canada) with meals and at bedtime. Cantil (not available in Canada) may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Cantil (not available in Canada) can cause decreased sweating. Avoid excessive activity in high temperatures because excessive body temperature and heat stroke may occur. Contact your doctor if any of the following occur: confusion; disorientation; short-term memory loss; hallucinations; slurred speech; clumsiness; coma; exaggerated sense of well-being; decreased anxiety, fatigue, sleeplessness, agitation, and mannerisms; inappropriate emotions. This product contains the dye tartrazine (FD&C Yellow No. 5) that can cause allergic reactions in certain patients. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you have concerns about this. Do not stop taking Cantil (not available in Canada) without checking with your health care provider. Patients with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Cantil (not available in Canada). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications or dietary supplements without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If several doses are missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist.
