Most severe: An allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives), liver damage (yellowing of the skin or eyes, nausea, abdominal pain or discomfort, unusual bleeding or bruising, severe fatigue); or blood problems (easy or unusual bleeding or bruising).

Most common: Dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or decreased appetite, dizziness, tiredness, or lightheadedness, drowsiness, confusion, agitation, irritability, or excitability, rash or itching, feeling of intoxication, shortness of breath

How should I take Cephadyn (not available in Canada)?

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Cephadyn (not available in Canada) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not stop taking Cephadyn (not available in Canada) without checking with your health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Cephadyn (not available in Canada). Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or pharmacist. Take each dose with a full glass of water. Take acetaminophen and butalbital with food or milk if it upsets your stomach. Never take more acetaminophen and butalbital than is prescribed for you. If your pain is not being adequately treated, talk to your doctor. Do not share Cephadyn (not available in Canada) with anyone else.
