How should I take Femstat (not available in Canada)?

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depend on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Femstat (not available in Canada) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Carefully read the information provided with Femstat (not available in Canada). Femstat (not available in Canada) is for vaginal use only. Do not use in eyes or take by mouth. Do not use Femstat (not available in Canada) without talking with your health care provider first if this is the first time you have had vaginal itching and discomfort. Use Femstat (not available in Canada) exactly as recommended. Insert 1 applicator full of cream into the vagina once a day at bedtime for 3 days. Thow the applicator away after using. Do not use tampons while using Femstat (not available in Canada). If your infection is not gone within 3 days, you may have a condition other than a yeast infection or you may need to use more medicine. Talk with your health care provider. If your symptoms return within 2 months or if you think you have been exposed to HIV (the virus that causes AIDS), consult your health care provider at once. Recurring infections may be a sign of pregnancy or a serious condition such as AIDS or diabetes. Do not rely on condoms or diaphragms to prevent sexually transmitted diseases or pregnancy while using this product. Femstat (not available in Canada) may damage them and cause them to fail. Use another method of birth control while using Femstat (not available in Canada). Do not use Femstat (not available in Canada) in females under 12 years of age. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Femstat (not available in Canada). Do not use more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. This includes herbal preparations and dietary supplements. Contact your health care provider at once if you feel you have used too much of Femstat (not available in Canada). If a dose is missed, use it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
