Do not take Imodium Advance (loperamide/simethicone) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Imodium Advance (loperamide/simethicone) you have a fever higher than 101 degrees F you have blood or mucus present in stools

Before using Imodium Advance (loperamide/simethicone), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medicine (eg, antibiotics) if you have any other medical condition (eg, liver disease)

Imodium Advance (loperamide/simethicone) cause dry mouth, drowsiness or dizziness; observe caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination or physical dexterity. Drink plenty of clear fluids to help prevent dehydration, which may accompany diarrhea. Notify your health care provider if diarrhea does not stop after a few days or if abdominal pain or distension or fever occurs. Do not exceed recommended dosage of Imodium Advance (loperamide/simethicone). Keep this and all other medicines out of the reach of children. Do not use for more than two day unless directed by a physician. Do not use if diarrhea is accompanied by high fever (greater than 101 degrees F), or if blood or mucus is present in the stool, or if you have had a rash or other allergic reaction to Imodium Advance (loperamide/simethicone). If you are taking antibiotics or have a history of liver disease, consult a physician before using this product. As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using Imodium Advance (loperamide/simethicone). In case of accidental overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately.

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Imodium Advance (loperamide/simethicone) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Do not use for more than 2 days unless directed by a doctor. Drink plenty of clear fluids to prevent dehydration, which can accompany diarrhea. Take the suggested dosage after the first loose bowel movement and after any additional loose bowel movements that follow. Do not stop taking Imodium Advance (loperamide/simethicone) without checking with your doctor. Do not take more medication than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Imodium Advance (loperamide/simethicone). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Store Imodium Advance (loperamide/simethicone) at room temperature in a cool, dry, place. Protect from direct heat and moisture.
