Most common: Stinging; burning; redness; peeling.

Other: Irritation; eczema; small red spots under the skin; dry skin; darkening of the skin.

How should I take Lac Hydrin Lotion (ammonium lactate)?
|
How much medicine you are using and how often it is used depends on many factors, including the condition being treated, your age, and weight. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Lac Hydrin Lotion (ammonium lactate) you are using, talk with your health care provider. Lac Hydrin Lotion (ammonium lactate) is for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, or mucous membranes. Use caution when applying Lac Hydrin Lotion (ammonium lactate) to the face. Apply Lac Hydrin Lotion (ammonium lactate) to the affected area and rub in thoroughly twice daily or as directed by your health care provider. Use caution when applying Lac Hydrin Lotion (ammonium lactate) on areas of the skin that may be exposed to natural or artificial sunlight, including the face. If sun exposure is unavoidable, wear protective clothing. Lac Hydrin Lotion (ammonium lactate) may cause stinging or burning when applied to cracked or scraped skin (eg, after shaving). Stop using Lac Hydrin Lotion (ammonium lactate) if your skin condition worsens. Do not take any over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. Patients with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before using Lac Hydrin Lotion (ammonium lactate). Do not use more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider. If a dose is missed, use it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised to by your health care provider. If more than one dose is missed, restart medication and advise your health care provider at your next appointment.
