Limbitrol (not available in Canada) is used to treat moderate to severe depression associated with moderate to severe anxiety.

Do not take Limbitrol (not available in Canada) if you are allergic to any ingredient in Limbitrol (not available in Canada) or similar medicines you are recovering from a recent heart attack you are currently using or have used a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) within the last 14 days you will be having elective surgery

Before using Limbitrol (not available in Canada), tell your health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medicine if you have urination problems or glaucoma if you have kidney, liver, or heart disease if you have a history of seizures or thyroid problems if you consume alcohol or other mental depressants if you have ever been addicted to any other medicines if you are undergoing electroshock therapy if you have ever tried or seriously considered committing suicide if you have any other medical condition

Birth defects have occurred in infants born to mothers who use Limbitrol (not available in Canada) during the first 3 months of pregnancy. Therefore, Limbitrol (not available in Canada) should be avoided during pregnancy. Patients who become pregnant or plan to become pregnant while taking Limbitrol (not available in Canada) should discuss stopping use with their doctors

How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of Limbitrol (not available in Canada) you are taking, talk with your health care provider. Avoid consuming alcohol and other mental depressants while taking Limbitrol (not available in Canada). Do not use Limbitrol (not available in Canada) in combination with MAOIs or within 14 days of stopping treatment with an MAOI. After stopping Limbitrol (not available in Canada), wait at least 14 days before starting an MAOI. Lab tests may be required during treatment. Be sure to keep appointments. Limbitrol (not available in Canada) may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. If you take Limbitrol (not available in Canada) more than once a day, take the larger portion at bedtime. Some patients may only need a single dose at bedtime. Do not stop taking Limbitrol (not available in Canada) without checking with your doctor. Do not take more medication than prescribed unless advised to do so by your doctor or health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Limbitrol (not available in Canada). Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Store Limbitrol (not available in Canada) at controlled room temperature (36 to 77 degrees F). Keep tightly closed. Protect from light and moisture.
