Prepare the monitor: Within 30 seconds insert the test strip (yellow reaction window facing up) into the test strip slot. Make sure that the lot number on the test strip matches with that on the monitor. When the bloo drop symbol flashes, you are ready to perform the test. Prepare the lancing device, rotate the comfort dial to set the penetration depth (1-5). For thin skin select a lower number, for thick or callused skin select a higher number. Pull off the cap from the lancing device. Insert a new lancet into the slot, push it in until it clicks. Remove the protective cap with a twisting movement, save the cap and replace it on the lancet before discarding. Press the priming button on lancing device until it clicks.
