Apply a small amount of this medicine (about the size of the tip of the finger) to the affected area. The treated area may be covered with a bandage. In cases of deep or puncture wounds, animal bites, or serious burns, talk with your doctor before using this medicine. If the condition continues or gets worse, or if rash or other allergic reaction occurs, stop using this medicine and talk with your doctor. Do not use this medicine longer than 1 week unless advised to do so by your health care provider. Do not take over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your health care provider. This includes any herbal preparations or dietary supplements. Do not take more medicine than prescribed unless advised to do so by your health care provider.
